TV Getsemani Live Stream

TV Getsemani is a Christian television channel from El Salvador, broadcasting in Spanish. Its name comes from Gethsemane, the garden at the foot of the Mount of Olives where Christ prayed before his arrest - a name that sets the devotional character of the channel rather than an entertainment one. It shares its ministry with Radio Getsemaní, the Christian station on 1390 AM in La Unión.

Worship and preaching

The channel's schedule is built around church life: services carried at length, sermons and preaching from Salvadoran ministers, and the worship that surrounds them. Programmes of this kind are broadcast in full rather than cut into short clips, so a service occupies its natural place in the day and viewers follow the preaching as it is delivered.

Prayer and Bible teaching

Prayer has its own place in the grid, in segments given to intercession and to the daily devotions of the congregation. Bible teaching appears in study formats that work through a passage or a theme across several programmes, aimed at viewers who follow the channel regularly and want instruction rather than background viewing.

Gospel music

Music fills the intervals between services - hymns and gospel songs in Spanish - and forms the channel's second pillar alongside preaching. For part of the audience the music blocks are the reason the channel stays on through the day.

A national Christian voice

El Salvador has one of the larger evangelical communities in Central America, and channels such as TV Getsemani serve it with Spanish-language religious television produced for a domestic audience rather than for export. The broadcaster's own motto is a proclamation of the triumph of Christ, the theme that runs through both its radio and television work.
