Iqraa Quran Live Stream
Iqraa Quran is the Quran-centred channel of Iqraa, the Arabic satellite network founded by Sheikh Saleh Abdullah Kamel and launched in 1998. Where the main Iqraa channel covers the breadth of Islamic life, this service narrows the focus to the text itself: recitation, correct pronunciation, and the meaning of the verses.
A network built on a founder's programme
Sheikh Saleh Kamel set the goals of Iqraa at its launch and they still shape its channels: to establish the moderate method of Islam in belief, law and conduct; to show the bright sides of Arab and Islamic civilisation; to promote the Arabic language; to present Islam's tolerance and answer accusations against it; and to encourage dialogue within the community. The Quran channel serves those aims at their source, since the recited text underpins everything else the network broadcasts.
Recitation and correction
The network's teaching on recitation is practical rather than abstract. One of its long-running programmes corrects the recitations of viewers who call in, opening each episode with a recitation by Dr. Ayman Rushdi Suwaid before taking calls from the audience - a format that turns tajweed from a book subject into a live exchange. Alongside it run readings, reflections on passages of the Quran, and lessons for viewers learning to recite correctly.
Reflection on the text
Beyond pronunciation the channel gives room to contemplation: programmes that pause on verses and draw out their meanings and admonitions, moving the viewer from reading to understanding. That pairing - correct recitation and reflective reading - defines the channel's place inside the Iqraa family.
