Asharq News (الشرق للأخبار) is an Arabic-language Saudi television channel and news portal with a focus on regional and global economics. Launched on 11 November 2020, it is a subsidiary of the Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG). The channel is headquartered in Riyadh, with central offices in the Dubai International Financial Center and in Washington DC, studios in Cairo and Abu Dhabi, and journalists in key capitals across the region and the world. Its CEO is Nabeel Al-Khatib, a former Al Arabiya executive.

The Bloomberg partnership

Business coverage runs through Asharq Business, which operates under an exclusive content agreement with Bloomberg: the teams share access to Bloomberg's analysis and market data and to a network of more than 2,700 journalists and financial analysts worldwide. The cooperation also produces an Arabic edition of Bloomberg Businessweek magazine.

Programs

The daily grid opens with Assabah Maa Cyba (Morning with Cyba), hosted by Cyba Audi - a business morning show for Arab business leaders tracking Asian and American economies and their impact on the region - and continues with rolling news, market coverage and interviews in Arabic.

Distribution

Asharq News broadcasts via satellite across the Arab world and streams live through asharq.com and its official YouTube channel.
