RTL Lëtzebuerg Programs
The schedule is built around Luxembourgish-language news, magazines and entertainment.
RTL Infos is the news brand, and Studio 2 the talk and discussion format.
Lighter output includes the game format PiccoBello and documentary series such as Schrëtt fir Schrëtt, while morning hours include RTL Shop blocks and off-peak the channel carries a live camera from the RTL radio studio with text news and traffic cameras.
One Station, Three Countries, Two Systems
The station grew out of a unique arrangement: Luxembourg long operated television in both PAL and SECAM, with RTL-TVI aimed at French-speaking Belgium and RTL Télévision - later RTL9 - at France; the Luxembourgish strand Hei elei, kuck elei ran across those stations until the dedicated Luxembourgish channel launched in 1991 filled the space.
The channel is joined by the sister service RTL Zwee, which carries reruns and live sport - including the Luxembourg Ladies Tennis Masters - while the group's radio stations and the rtl.lu news site complete the operation.
