CNBC Indonesia is an Indonesian business news television channel headquartered in Jakarta. The channel is owned by PT Trans Berita Bisnis, part of Chairul Tanjung's Trans Media group, operating under license from the CNBC brand. It is the country's second business-oriented news channel after IDX Channel and the Indonesian sister of the global CNBC network family, which includes CNBC Asia, CNBC Europe and CNBC-TV18.

History

The channel grew out of a strategic partnership between Trans Media and the CNBC trademark's owner, announced by businessman Chairul Tanjung. CNBC Indonesia soft-launched as an Indonesian-language online business news portal on 8 February 2018, and the television channel officially went on air on 10 October 2018, coinciding with the 20th corporate anniversary of sister network Trans7. In early February 2020 the channel launched its HD feed on the Telkom 4 (Merah Putih) satellite.

Programmes

The schedule follows the CNBC business-day pattern: Squawk Box Indonesia opens the market day, Power Lunch Indonesia covers midday trading and Closing Bell Indonesia wraps up the session, followed by Evening Up. The grid also includes News Flash and Breaking News updates, market-focused formats INVESTime and Economics Update, features such as Iconomics, Profit and Number's Bite, the interview series The Journey, and Managing Asia from CNBC Asia.

CNBC Indonesia is available nationwide on digital terrestrial television in 1080i HD, on satellite and on pay platforms including IndiHome TV, and streams live through its official website cnbcindonesia.com.
