Nour Al Sharq Live Stream

Nour Al Sharq - نور الشرق, the Light of the East - is the second Arabic channel of Tele Lumiere, the Christian network of the Maronite Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch in Lebanon. Where Noursat carries the network's main schedule, Nour Al Sharq offers a parallel one.

A second schedule

A church that broadcasts its liturgy, its teaching and its coverage of Church life soon fills a single day's programming. Nour Al Sharq exists to hold what the main channel cannot: additional liturgies, longer teaching series, documentaries on the Christian heritage of the Levant, cultural programmes and youth material. It lets the network carry a live service on one channel while the other keeps its regular schedule.

Light of the East

The name points to the Church's oldest heartland: Christianity reached these shores in the first century, and the region's churches - Maronite, Greek Orthodox, Melkite, Syriac and others - have kept their liturgies and languages through centuries of change. A channel called the Light of the East takes that heritage as its subject, and its documentaries and cultural programming carry it to viewers in the diaspora who no longer live near the places they came from.

Watching

Nour Al Sharq streams through the network's infrastructure and is carried on satellite with the rest of the Tele Lumiere family, alongside Noursat, Noursat English and the network's other services.
