Namdhari TV Live Stream
Namdhari TV is the television service of the Namdhari community, broadcast from Sri Bhaini Sahib - the village near Ludhiana in Punjab that is the movement's centre. It carries the daily worship of the gurdwara to the community's followers wherever they live.
What the channel carries
The schedule follows the gurdwara's day: Gurbani recitation, Shabad Kirtan sung in the traditional manner, and Asa di Vaar, the morning hymnody that begins the Sikh day. Teaching on the Namdhari tradition, the movement's history and its discipline forms the rest, with coverage of the community's gatherings and festivals.
A community with its own centre
The Namdhari movement - also called the Kuka movement - grew in the nineteenth century under Baba Ram Singh and is distinctive among Sikh traditions for its own line of authority and its own practice. Sri Bhaini Sahib remains its centre, and a channel broadcasting from there serves a community dispersed across Punjab and the diaspora, especially in Britain, Canada and Australia.
Watching
Namdhari TV broadcasts in standard definition and streams from its own server at namdhari.tv, with support contacts published on the site. Its programmes are also published on its video channel.
