Awakening TV Live Stream

Awakening TV is the television service of the Brahma Kumaris, the spiritual movement whose centres for meditation and self-development are found across India and around the world. It broadcasts in Hindi and is followed online through its live stream.

What the channel carries

The schedule is built on practice rather than on ritual: guided meditation, talks on the movement's teaching about the self, the mind and the cycle of time, and programmes on values, relationships and peaceful living. Its register is calm and instructional, addressed to viewers who want a practice they can follow rather than a service they attend, and the movement's centres supply much of the material.

A movement with its own media

The Brahma Kumaris run their own publishing, broadcasting and education work, and Awakening TV is part of that structure rather than an independent broadcaster. That is why the channel can afford to be unhurried: its purpose is teaching, and its audience follows the movement's programme of study rather than the ratings.

Watching

Awakening TV broadcasts in standard definition on Indian platforms and streams through the Tango TV infrastructure used by its operator. Its YouTube presence carries the live stream while the full site is being completed, and its programmes are collected on its video channels.
