TV9 Nusantara Live Stream

TV9 Nusantara broadcasts from Surabaya as one of East Java's Islamic local stations, carrying news, religious study and community programming in Indonesian. The channel works under the slogan Santun Menyejukkan, a phrase meaning polite and calming, which shapes both its da'wah content and its approach to local reporting.

Owned by PT Dakwah Inti Media and connected with the East Java branch of Nahdlatul Ulama, the station serves Muslim viewers in Surabaya and the surrounding Gerbangkertosusila region. Its schedule mixes daily newscasts with Aswaja teaching, programmes for women and family-oriented entertainment.

Jurnal 9 News Through the Day

Jurnal 9 is the station's main news brand, divided into Jurnal 9 Pagi, Jurnal 9 Siang, Jurnal 9 Petang and Jurnal 9 Malam. Jurnal 9 Sepekan reviews the week's main events, while Jurnal 9 On The Way follows stories away from the studio.

News Update and Breaking News report developing events between the main bulletins. Lensa Nahdliyin concentrates on Nahdlatul Ulama activities, schools, pesantren and community affairs across the province.

Kiswah and Aswaja Teaching

Kiswah, subtitled Kajian Islam Ahlusunnah Wal Jama'ah, is the channel's principal religious study programme, presenting Aswaja teaching in a format built for television audiences. Hujjah Aswaja examines the theological arguments behind the tradition, and Nderes Kitab Kuning is devoted to the classical texts studied in pesantren.

Apa Kata Bu Nyai brings female religious teachers into the discussion, while Khazanah looks at the intellectual heritage of Indonesian Islam. Rindu Makkah follows the pilgrimage, and Klinik Islami and Bengkel Keluarga Sakinah apply religious guidance to health and family life.

Culture, Food and Family Programming

Local culture appears in Wisata Religi, which visits pilgrimage sites, and in X-tra Kuliner, a food programme built around East Javanese cooking. Kopi Darmo takes its name from the station's address on Jalan Raya Darmo and presents conversation in a relaxed setting.

Serba Serbi Manten and Pernik Unik explore wedding customs, Sinema Religi screens religious drama, and Musik Religi carries devotional songs. Generasi Emas, More Ning Show and Ihwal Jamiyah address education, women's enterprise and the work of NU institutions.

From Pas TV to a Surabaya Station

The station began as Pasuruan Televisi, or Pas TV, founded in Pasuruan by Misbahul Munir and managed by the local Nahdlatul Ulama branch. It started broadcasting in August 2007 on 48 UHF, moved to 42 UHF that September, and initially aired in morning and evening blocks.

On 31 January 2010 Pas TV was replaced by TV9 Nusantara, launched in Surabaya by Governor Soekarwo to mark the 84th anniversary of Nahdlatul Ulama. The station received its principle broadcasting permit in July 2009 and a permanent permit in July 2012 from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.

The name refers to the nine stars of the Nahdlatul Ulama emblem and to the nine Wali Songo, the teachers traditionally credited with spreading Islam in Java. The logo was simplified in 2015, and the channel marked its fourteenth year on air in January 2024.

Reach and Recognition

TV9 Nusantara transmits digitally in the Surabaya area and is carried on satellite and cable platforms including Telkom-4, K-Vision, SMV FreeSat, Transvision, First Media and MNC Play. Its newsroom holds verification from the Indonesian Press Council, certificate number 198/DP-Terverifikasi/K/II/2018.

Newsgathering is centred on Surabaya, with coverage extending to regencies across East Java. The station describes its role as a reference for Islamic information, lifestyle and entertainment, and its programming regularly follows the activities of Nahdlatul Ulama in the province.
