Ahlulbayt TV Live Stream

Ahlulbayt TV describes itself as the first free-to-air television network devoted exclusively to English-language presentation of the message of the Prophet Muhammad and his household. It was launched on Sky in the United Kingdom on 17 August 2009 and, two months later, began broadcasting on Galaxy 19 for North America from its headquarters in London.

The channel's coverage extends to Ireland, the United States, Africa, the Middle East and Australia, and its output is aimed at English-speaking Shia communities and at viewers outside the traditional centres of the faith.

Lectures and Majalis

Religious talks form the core of the schedule. Scholars address belief, ethics and history in English, and the channel carries majalis and commemorations through Muharram and Ramadan, with nightly programmes during the first ten days of Muharram.

Documentaries

Ahlulbayt TV produces documentary series on Islamic history and on the lives of the Imams, made for television rather than recorded from the pulpit. The channel also maintains a separate archive of documentaries, including titles such as Ali in God's Words.

Supplication programmes are part of the output, among them recitations of Duaa Abu Hamza, and the schedule carries Qur'an recitation and teaching for viewers learning the text in English.

Audience and Funding

The channel presents itself as independent and supported by donations, with appeals to viewers to sustain the service. Its programmes are available through satellite platforms and online, with a live page on its own website.
