WSOC Now Live Stream

WSOC Now is the streaming news service of WSOC-TV, channel 9, the ABC affiliate in Charlotte, North Carolina. The station is owned by Cox Media Group and serves the Charlotte market, which stretches across both Carolinas.

WSOC has been the market's ABC station for decades and its newsroom is one of the largest in the region, covering Mecklenburg County and the surrounding counties in North and South Carolina.

Programming

The streaming service carries breaking news, severe weather and traffic, with reporters in the field and continuous updates as events develop. The region's weather is a standing subject: summer thunderstorms, autumn hurricanes that reach the coast and winter ice that closes the schools.

Local politics, education, business and community affairs fill the rest of the schedule, and the station follows the area's rapid growth and its transport problems.

Access

WSOC Now is distributed through the Amagi platform as a free ad-supported streaming channel, delivered over the internet in high definition with English captions.

Charlotte is one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country, and the station's reporting on housing, transport and schools reflects that: new subdivisions, crowded roads and the pressure on public services are recurring subjects.
