Newsy Live Stream

Newsy is the name under which the Scripps News streaming channel operated from its launch in 2008 until 31 December 2022. It is a free ad-supported streaming news service, formerly also a digital subchannel network, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and owned by the Scripps Networks division of the E. W. Scripps Company.

In its early years Newsy worked mainly as a syndication business, selling news and original content to digital journalism brands that included AOL and the Huffington Post, Microsoft and Mashable. In January 2014 the E. W. Scripps Company bought it for thirty-five million dollars.

Three years later, in September 2017, Scripps announced it would take over RLTV's cable and satellite carriage agreements, covering about twenty-six million subscribers, and reprogramme the network with Newsy's shows. The company kept six offices and bureaus in the United States, among them Columbia, Missouri, in collaboration with the Missouri School of Journalism, and Chicago.

Access

The content is available free on streaming platforms including FuboTV, Pluto TV, The Roku Channel, YouTube TV, Xumo, Haystack News and Samsung TV Plus, and the feed is delivered over the internet in high definition with segments of several megabytes.
