E! Latin America is the regional service of E! Entertainment Television, the American cable network devoted to pop culture, celebrity-based reality programming and film. The channel carries the brand's output to Spanish-speaking audiences across the region.

The Network

E! was launched on 31 July 1987 as Movietime by a consortium of cable providers including Comcast, Continental Cablevision, Cox Cable, TCI and Warner Cable, together with HBO/Warner Communications. HBO programmed and managed it at first, and on 1 June 1990 it was relaunched as E! to reflect its widening coverage of celebrity culture, contemporary film, television and music, Hollywood gossip and fashion.

Comcast and Disney/ABC Cable Networks acquired the channel in 1997, Comcast bought out Disney's stake in 2006, and E! joined NBCUniversal's cable division in 2011. As of November 2023 the network reached about seventy-one million pay television households in the United States, down from a peak of ninety-nine million in 2011.
