CBS News Colorado Live Stream
CBS News Colorado is the local streaming news service built around KCNC-TV, channel 4, branded CBS Colorado. The station is licensed to Denver and owned and operated by CBS Television Stations, with studios on Lincoln Street between East 10th and 11th Avenues downtown and a transmitter on Lookout Mountain, near Golden.
The Station
KCNC first signed on at 6:30 in the evening on 24 December 1953 as KOA-TV, bringing NBC programming back to the area after a temporary break in service. The inaugural programme was followed by the Christmas feature The Lamb and the Manger.
The station was founded by Metropolitan TV Company, partly owned by the comedian Bob Hope, which also held KOA radio, and it took the NBC affiliation immediately because of that radio heritage. It remained an NBC affiliate until 1995, when the network's affiliation moved in a wide station swap and channel 4 joined CBS.
Streaming Output
The service carries Colorado's reporting beyond the broadcast schedule: breaking stories from Denver and the Front Range, mountain weather and ski conditions, state politics, wildfires and water policy, and coverage of the state's growing technology and aerospace sectors.
Sport follows the Denver franchises and the state's college teams, and the newsroom reports from across the Western Slope as well as the metropolitan area.
Access
CBS News Colorado streams continuously over the internet from the CBS interactive video network and is available through the CBS News website, app and connected televisions.
