Riigikogu TV Live Stream

Riigikogu TV is the parliamentary television service of Estonia's Riigikogu, broadcasting plenary sittings, committee meetings and press conferences from Toompea Castle in Tallinn. The service brings the work of Estonia's parliament directly to the public, and viewers who watch TV online can follow it live on the parliament's official site.

Democracy on Camera

Riigikogu TV exists to make the legislative process transparent: when the Riigikogu sits, the cameras run. The service carries plenary sessions in full, alongside committee hearings, official statements and the press conferences that follow the day's political events, without commentary or editing.

The Day on Air

On sitting days, the broadcast is built around plenary sessions, where bills are debated and votes are taken. Between sittings, the schedule carries committee meetings, where legislation is prepared in detail, and recorded sessions and parliamentary programs fill the hours when the chamber is not in session.

Programs and Formats

The core of the service is the unedited live coverage of the chamber, supplemented by hearings with ministers and experts, press conferences of the political groups and informational programs explaining how the Riigikogu works. Question times with the government and debates of national importance draw the largest audiences.

Members and Procedure

The faces of the broadcast are the 101 members of the Riigikogu, the President of the Riigikogu who chairs the sittings, and the ministers who answer to parliament. Coverage follows the rules of parliamentary procedure, giving equal attention to every group in the chamber.
