TV channels Vatican City

Television connected with the Vatican is not entertainment, but the life of the Catholic Church and the work of the Apostolic See on screen.

The Official Voice of the Holy See

Vatican News is the official media service of the Holy See: the Pope's own newsroom, telling the world about the life of the Vatican and the universal Church. The schedule is built around the papal Masses, audiences and journeys, the news of the Roman Curia and Church events on every continent.

Catholic Television from Rome

Sat2000 - today known as TV2000 - is the television channel of the Italian Bishops' Conference: Catholic broadcasting from Rome since 1998. Its schedule includes coverage of the pontificate, liturgies, documentaries and society programs, conversations about faith, culture and the life of the Church in Italy and beyond.

Together, the two channels give a complete picture of Vatican television: one speaks on behalf of the Holy See, the other on behalf of the bishops of the country in which the Vatican lies.
