Canal de Gobierno is the official television channel of the Government of Guatemala - the Executive's own broadcast medium, created by Government Agreement No. 086-2014 to report the state's work directly to citizens.

Created by Agreement

The channel was established in 2014 as the official means of divulging the information of the Executive Branch and its dependencies - presenting the government's activities, works and projects to the citizenry. It marked its ninth anniversary in 2023.

The State on Cable

Canal de Gobierno reaches viewers by cable - carried by Claro on channels 69 and 84 - covering the presidency, the ministries and the country's state institutions, alongside public-service programming for Guatemalan citizens.

The Great Events of State

The channel carries the country's official ceremonies as they happen - inaugurations, national addresses and the great state events - and distributes them through the government's own web platforms as well as the cable systems.
