Zagorodny (Country Living) is a Russian thematic television channel about practical life outside the city. Its official website groups the programming around building and maintaining a home, gardens and plots, landscaping, interiors, crafts and cooking. The subject is everyday country living: programmes show projects and ideas for the house and garden rather than studio entertainment or general news.

Home projects and garden advice

The published programme catalogue and schedule include Moy Zagorodny (My Country Home), with episodes on topics such as building a house by hand and growing crops in a greenhouse. Dachnaya bitva (Dacha Battle) presents garden and plot challenges, while Ya stroyu dom (I’m Building a House) follows stages of a country-home build and explains common decisions and mistakes. The channel’s listings also feature garden advice, landscape design, repair, interiors and hands-on work. Episode themes and hosts vary by series.

Practical ideas for country life

Other listed formats cover food, home improvement and small-scale projects. The schedule includes gardening features such as Sadovye zametki Olivii (Olivia’s Garden Notes), alongside programmes about houses and design. The mix combines Russian productions with other titles shown in the published guide. Viewers should consult the channel’s current programme page for broadcast times, since the schedule and episodes change.
