Libya al-Ahrar TV - the February Channel - is a Libyan satellite news channel founded on 30 March 2011, amid the Libyan uprising against Gaddafi - it takes its name from the February 2011 revolution. Owned by the Qatari Al-Rayyan company, it is headquartered in Doha with offices in Istanbul, Tripoli and Benghazi, and its director is Suleiman Dogha.

News and Public Affairs

The channel's grid is built on Libyan news, political and social affairs, covering the country's politics, security and public life with correspondents in Libya and the region - and it is among Libya's most-watched news broadcasters today. Its slogan - "We set out to continue" - recalls its founding mission amid the uprising, for a country of about seven million people.

The channel broadcasts by satellite on Nilesat, Arabsat and Hotbird, and streams online through its official site - Libyan news for the country and the diaspora, in Arabic.
