Red PAT - Periodistas Asociados de Television - is a Bolivian free-to-air television channel. It was founded as an independent news production company on 1 August 1990 by Carlos Mesa, later president of Bolivia, together with Mario Espinoza, Amalia Pando and Ximena Valdivia, and became a television channel in 1998.

Born as a News Producer

PAT began as Bolivia's first independent news producer, making the midday 2.a Edicion and evening 3.a Edicion newscasts carried on successive Bolivian channels before launching its own channel. The producer also made De Frente, Amalia Pando's investigative reportage, and Detras de las Noticias. Its headquarters have long been on Avenida Saavedra in Miraflores, La Paz.

The channel now broadcasts national news, talk and entertainment across Bolivia, with its live signal on redpat.tv and its programmes distributed on the official YouTube channel.
