City TV Yaroslavl, also known as GTK, is a regional broadcaster serving Yaroslavl and surrounding towns in Russia’s Yaroslavl Oblast. The company says it began broadcasting on 5 July 1993 and reaches a potential audience of more than one million people across its service area. Since March 2019, the channel has used its own 24-hour programming schedule. Its output combines local reporting, studio discussion, family content, films and coverage of significant regional events. The broadcaster also operates Hit FM Yaroslavl and other local media projects.

Local news and discussion

GTK’s production list includes Novosti Goroda (City News), Na Povestke Dnya (On the Agenda), Dialogi (Dialogues) and Obozrevatel (Observer). The channel describes these programs as covering regional life and issues of public concern. Its current program pages also feature Glavnye Televizionnye Novosti (Main Television News) and Glavnye Televizionnye Novosti: Itogi (News: The Week in Review). The talk format On the Agenda invites guests to discuss subjects including the economy, social affairs, construction, tourism, city improvement and transport.

History, family and public safety

The schedule also includes history-focused projects Dom s Biografiyey (House with a Biography) and Ya-Istoriya (I-History), along with family programs Utrennyy Fresh (Morning Fresh) and To, Chto Nuzhno (Just What You Need). GTK says its Bezopasnost (Safety) and 112 Sluzhba Spaseniya (112 Rescue Service) programs explain emergency response and public safety.
