Closed, Renamed, Reopened

Al Rahma's history reflects the fortunes of Egypt's religious broadcasting: the channel was closed at the Media Production City on 19 October 2010, over lawsuits including accusations of spreading sectarian strife, and returned to Nilesat under the new name Al-Rawda. It was closed again with a group of channels on the evening of 3 July 2013, and later resumed broadcasting once its status was settled - today it works on its Nilesat frequency, with a second signal on Arabsat.
