Yenisei TV - Telekompaniya Yenisey - is the regional television broadcaster of Krasnoyarsk Krai, the vast territory of central Siberia that takes its name from the Yenisei river. On air since 2001 and headquartered in Krasnoyarsk, the company is owned by the Yenisei-Region structure and describes its signal as reaching the overwhelming majority of the krai's settlements, an audience of around three million people.

Programmes for a Siberian region

For two decades the channel's schedule was built around its own daily output. Utro na Yenisee (Morning on the Yenisei) opened the day with regional news, guests and useful information, while the flagship Novosti bulletin covered events in Krasnoyarsk and across the krai. The Intervju (Interview) slot hosted officials, cultural figures and entrepreneurs, and the weekly Itogi (Results) summed up the main events.

Around this news spine the channel aired thematic programmes on culture, art, sport, health and everyday life in Siberia, including the health magazine strand and interviews such as the conversation with Vladimir Zemlyansky, a KVN Higher League actor.

Documentary filmmaking

In recent years the company's focus has shifted from daily news towards documentary production. Its films include Kray bez okrain (A Land without Outskirts), a two-part project on the krai's territory and its monastery heritage subtitled "Obitel", O hlebe nasushnom (Of our daily bread), which follows people who left state service for farming, Bolshoye Delo and Nasha Kultura, a series on the region's cultural life. These films form the core of the channel's current online presence.

Broadcasting today

The daily news service was wound down in the spring of 2022, and since then Yenisei TV has concentrated on documentaries and feature material, published on its official YouTube channel, while its archive of news editions, interviews and thematic programmes remains a record of two decades of life in the Krasnoyarsk region.
