TRT Avaz Live Stream

TRT Avaz is the channel of Turkey's public broadcaster aimed at the Turkic world, carrying news and culture from the Balkans to Central Asia.

News in several languages

The schedule lists Kazakistan Haber, Kırgızca Haber, Özbekçe Haber, Türkmence Haber, Azerbaycan Haber and Rusça Haber — bulletins in Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Turkmen, Azerbaijani and Russian. Broadcasting news in the languages of the region is the channel's defining feature: it addresses viewers from Baku to Bishkek in their own tongue rather than in Turkish with subtitles.

Avaz Gündem and cultural programming

Alongside the bulletins sit Avaz Gündem (Avaz Current Affairs) and programmes on music, history, travel, sport, cinema and regional culture, including Türk Dünyası Keşif Rotası and Bir Kahve Bin Havadis.

The Turkic world as a broadcast region

Turkey's public broadcaster runs services for the Turkic republics, for the Balkans and for the diaspora, and TRT Avaz is the one built around linguistic and cultural affinity rather than geography. Its audience includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and the Turkic communities of Iran, Iraq and Russia.

Turkish public diplomacy

The channel works alongside the Turkic Council's cultural programmes and Turkey's wider outreach to the region. Broadcasting in local languages is the practical form that policy takes on television.
