Abya Yala TV Live Stream

Abya Yala Television is a Bolivian television channel broadcasting from La Paz, owned by the Fundacion Abya Yala. Its declared mission is information, education, culture and social technology "for the construction of a continent without borders", with the slogan "donde la informacion supera la noticia" - where information goes beyond the news.

A Channel with a Social Mission

The channel's name, Abya Yala, is the indigenous Guna term for the American continent, and the programme grid follows the foundation's line: national news and analysis, educational and cultural magazines, and productions on indigenous peoples and social movements. The channel has worked with international partners, including the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television on the co-production Tejiendo futuro, directed by Ivan Sanjines.

On Air and Online

Abya Yala Television distributes its signal from La Paz to cable operators across Bolivia and keeps an active online presence with a live stream and its YouTube channel. The channel has been a stepping stone for Bolivian television professionals - journalists such as Gabriela Alcon and presenters like Mayra Gonzales worked there, and the journalist and writer Rosario Aquim served as its general manager in 2020-2021.
