Cablenoticias is a Colombian subscription television channel dedicated to news around the clock - its slogan is "24 horas de información". The channel broadcasts from Bogotá, with studios on Avenida Carrera 28 in the Teusaquillo district, in the building that once housed the historic Producciones PUNCH television studios.

History

The channel began broadcasting on 1 October 2007 under the name Cable Noticias, founded by Juan Gonzalo Ángel Restrepo. In 2011 it was sold to Venezuelan media businessmen Alberto Federico Ravell and Tobías Carrero Nácar - the former owners of the Venezuelan news channel Globovisión - in a deal valued at 17 million US dollars, and adopted the stylized name Cablenoticias. Its director is Laura Puente Padaui.

Programming

The grid is built around rolling national and international news: live bulletins, breaking news, reports, interviews and debate programmes. Since 1 December 2019 the channel has also carried Noticias Uno on weekends and public holidays, after the award-winning newscast left Canal 1. Cablenoticias belongs to a family of Colombian channels that includes TV Agro, Rumba TV, Hogar TV and Tele Nostalgia.

Distribution

The channel is carried by Colombian pay-TV operators in 1080i HD and streams through its official website cablenoticias.tv.
