Hispan TV Live Stream

HispanTV is an Iranian Spanish-language news channel operated by Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), the Iranian state broadcaster, from Tehran. On air since December 2011, it serves Spanish-speaking audiences with 24-hour news, current affairs, documentary and cultural programming.

Iran's Spanish-Language Service

HispanTV is a sister service of the English-language Press TV and the Arabic-language Al-Alam, completing Iran's trio of foreign-language satellite channels. Its newsroom combines Iranian journalists who speak Spanish with colleagues from Argentina, Chile, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Russia, Spain and Venezuela. The channel's stated mission is cultural exchange between Latin-American citizens of Iranian descent, Hispanics of the United States, Muslim minorities of the Hispanophone world and Spanish-speaking residents of Iran.

Programmes

The schedule mixes rolling news with magazine and talk formats: PoliMedios, El Frasco, Monoblock and Grin Go! discuss media and current affairs, while Ventana a Palestina and Causa Palestina focus on the Palestinian question and Dice Israel examines Israeli politics. Detrás de la Razón, El Porqué de las Noticias, Sobh, Wikihispan and Entre Líneas complete the grid, alongside the documentary strand Verdadera Promesa. In earlier years the channel also carried Fort Apache, presented by Pablo Iglesias Turrión.

Distribution

HispanTV's signal is distributed in Venezuela, Argentina, Cuba and other countries of Hispanic America, as well as through the channel's website and applications. In July 2013, sanctions removed the channel from several European and American satellites, ending its carriage in Spain, and today its broadcast reach is concentrated in Latin America.
