Joy Prime Live Stream

Joy Prime is an English-language television channel from Ghana and one of the Joy brands of the Multimedia Group, the Accra-based media company founded by entrepreneur Kwasi Twum in 1995. The channel blends entertainment, sports, telenovelas, news and current affairs with drama series, franchise formats, children's programs, magazines and reality shows, and it is carried across Ghana on GOtv channel 180 and DStv channel 281.

A Joy Brand of the Multimedia Group

The Multimedia Group grew from a single Accra radio station into a network of six radio stations, including Joy FM and Hitz FM, four television services and the MyJoyOnline news portal. Within that portfolio Joy Prime is the entertainment-leaning television brand, positioned alongside the news channel Joy News, the educational service Joy Learning and the Akan-language Adom TV.

Prime Morning and Daytime Talk

The channel's flagship morning program, the Prime Morning Show, mixes interviews, lifestyle segments and social campaigns; in April 2024 host Roselyn Felli fronted the launch of the show's #LightupGhana road-safety campaign. The evening talk show PrimeTime, hosted by George Quaye, opened with high-profile guests such as the musician Samini, while Prime Insight gives the schedule a current-affairs slot.

Reality and Children's Programming

Joy Prime built its reputation among younger viewers with Big Chef, a cooking reality franchise that began with children competing in Big Chef Junior and expanded in June 2023 to Big Chef Tertiary, in which students of Ghana's universities and colleges represent their institutions in the kitchen. The children's block 4Kids Paradise combines entertainment with social campaigns such as the anti-illegal-mining initiative Say No to Galamsey, and the Ghanaian Farmer TV Show brings agricultural stories to a general audience.
