Szombathelyi Televízió (TV) has been present in the region for decades and broadcasts to many households. We reach around 55,000 households in the Szombathely and 25 km area. In the early days, the canned magazines were shown every two weeks for one hour, but over the years we have gradually increased the broadcasting time. From the mid-1990s onwards, we broadcast live programmes weekly, then fortnightly, then daily.

Keeping pace with the rise of the internet, we have been available on online platforms since 2004. Anyone can watch our broadcasts freely via the internet, which has significantly increased our audience and our efficiency. And since September 2008 we have been using digital technology to produce our broadcasts. This allows viewers to enjoy our programmes in even higher quality. Thanks to digital broadcasting, the picture and sound quality has also improved, allowing us to entertain viewers even better.

Szombathelyi Televízió also attaches importance to training young people, which is why we regularly welcome trainees in our studio. Every year, 4-6 students gain practical skills with us and get the chance to get a taste of real television work. Our aim is to help young people develop professionally and help them discover talent.
