Canal 7 Mendoza Live Stream
Canal 7 Mendoza, known since 2013 by its commercial name El Siete, is the oldest television station in western Argentina and one of the first open-air channels licensed outside Buenos Aires. Broadcasting as LV 89 TV from Las Heras in Greater Mendoza, it combines local news, magazines and entertainment with programming from América TV, to which it is affiliated, and its live signal also streams online.
Western Argentina's Pioneer Station
The channel began transmitting on 7 February 1961 under Difusora Mendoza, a company formed by businessman Juan Gómez, and was among the first interior licences granted in Argentina together with Canal 8 of Mar del Plata. From its original studios in Mendoza's Edificio Gómez it moved in 1992 to purpose-built facilities in Las Heras, and its signal is transmitted from the Cerro Arco tower and relayed by eight repeaters across the province - from the Uco Valley and Uspallata to San Rafael and Malargüe. Colour broadcasts began in 1981, high definition arrived on 12 June 2012 - making it the first regional channel in the format - and the station joined Mendoza's digital terrestrial platform in 2014 and DirecTV's regional lineup in 2018.
Since 1997 the station has belonged to Grupo América (formerly Grupo UNO), which operates it through Jorge Estornell S.A., and part of its schedule relays programming from the Buenos Aires network América TV.
Local Programming
News is the core of the local schedule: Noticiero 7, the channel's news service, airs three weekday editions at 7:00, 12:00 and 21:00 with a focus on Mendoza. The morning magazine Hola Mendoza covers daily life across the province, Ovación TV handles sport, and Chef sin fronteras nómade is a travelling cooking show. Two programmes have earned Martín Fierro Federal awards: Vinos y Placeres, dedicated to Mendoza's wine culture, and the music show Brava en el 7. Regional identity runs through the channel's coverage, from the Fiesta Nacional de la Vendimia harvest festival, which it has broadcast in full since 1965, to reports from the Andes and the province's wine country.
