WHPR TV 33 Live Stream

WHPR TV 33 is Detroit's independent community station — African-American-owned television covering the city with local talk, music and public affairs since the 1980s.

Detroit's Community Voice

The grid is Detroit-made: local talk shows and call-ins where the city argues and laughs, gospel and soul music programming, community affairs coverage, church services, and the neighborhood stories the network stations drive past.

A Motor City Original

WHPR has survived for decades as one of the country's few Black-owned independent stations — a shoestring operation with an outsized place in Detroit's media culture.

Watching Online

The station streams via 313watkins.com, so anyone who wants to watch this Detroit community TV channel online gets the city's own signal from anywhere.
