TV Perú Noticias is the news service of Peru’s public broadcaster, the Instituto Nacional de Radio y Televisión del Perú (IRTP). Its newsroom follows national developments and international events, with reporting designed to bring timely, clear information to viewers throughout the country. Coverage includes politics, public affairs, community stories and major events beyond Peru.

Daily news editions

The schedule brings audiences several news editions across the day. Primera hora (First Hour) opens the morning with María Fernanda Montenegro and Romy Huamaní. At midday, Noticias ahora (News Now), presented by Alex Vigo and Fiorella León, reviews the day’s main developments at home and abroad. These editions combine studio updates with reports and live coverage as stories unfold.

Reporting from across Peru

Regional reporting is an important part of the service. Regiones ahora (Regions Now), presented by Rony Mellán, brings attention to current affairs beyond Lima and shares local perspectives from communities around the country. IRTP’s regional teams report on issues that shape daily life in Peru, helping connect national coverage with events and concerns in different parts of the country.

Public service news

As part of IRTP, TV Perú Noticias places public information and broad national coverage at the center of its work. Its reporting spans government and civic affairs, social issues, culture, the economy and emergencies, while international coverage gives context to events affecting Peru and the wider region. The result is a news-focused service shaped by the country’s many regions and audiences.
