RTV Noord is the regional public broadcaster of the Dutch province of Groningen, founded on 19 October 1977 as Radio Noord. Today it runs a TV channel, radio and a news website from the city of Groningen.

News in Dutch and Gronings

The flagship Noord Vandaag brings news and background stories from the province, while the Weerbericht weather bulletin is presented in the Gronings dialect. The daily Kiek! shows the province through viewers' own photographs, with a weekly audience vote for the best shot.

Expeditie Grunnen

Since 3 September 2016 one of the station's most popular programmes has been Expeditie Grunnen, broadcast on Saturdays and Sundays: presenters Derk Bosscher and Ronald Niemeijer - at times relieved by Leonie Albers or Joyce Kranenborg - set out in a special bus to see what the province's residents are up to. The original 1986 Volkswagen Transporter T3 bus became an icon among viewers, and the format grew from an idea by Rob Mulder.
