Weather Forecast helps you view weather forecasts and related information for locations you choose. We designed the app to keep personal data collection to a minimum.

To show forecasts, the app sends requests to external providers (for example Open-Meteo, Met Norway, national weather services, geocoding APIs, air quality and marine APIs). Those requests may include:
Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. Weather Forecast does not control how those services handle requests.
The app may use analytics services (such as Firebase Analytics and AppMetrica) to understand how the app is used—for example which screens are opened and basic technical information (device model, app version, operating system). This helps us improve stability and features. Analytics providers may process data according to their own policies.
If you enable GPS, the app uses your device location to show weather for your current position and to refresh city names. Location is shared only with the weather and geocoding services needed to fetch data.
You can use the app without GPS by searching for cities manually.
Background location, if granted, is used only to update your device location when the app runs in the background (for example background refresh or widgets).
If you enable alerts, the app evaluates local weather data on your device and may show notifications (rain, snow, heat, pollen, air quality, and similar). Notification content is generated locally from downloaded forecast data.
Weather Forecast is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available in the app and at this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
